Finally today are going to arrive the first ones .On saturday August 15^th, while the others will follow shortly after, giving life  during the first days of the next week, to a composite “team” made up of 25.000 peoples coordinated by 800 équipe leaders. They are the voluntaries of the XV World Youth Day who are going to complete in the Capital, during the next days, their training curse, and receive their assignements about places and service’s tasks.

Where are they from?

Nearly 40 Countries from all the continents are there represented in voluntaries’ groups, efficacious and representative image, on a reduced scale, of languages and colours’”raimbow” that will enlive the streets of Rome starting from August 15^th . A great part of them, come from Italy,  envolved with almost all the dioceses, (about 200) and more than 40 (interested engaged) associations . These are the main represented Countries: Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Benin, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Equador, Philippines, France, Germany, Guatemala, Lebanon, Lithuania, Madagascar, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, USA, Switzerland, Ukraine, Hungary.

The selection of voluntaries, is organized by the same Episcopal Conferences, dioceses, parishes, and different associations of  several countries and coordinated by Voluntary’s Centre for Jubilee welcome, in cooperation with the Italian Commitee for the XV World Youth Day.

 Which kind of services they will perform: 

Voluntaries will have to cover  logistic organization(support) and  welcome all the young people who will take part in  the World Day.In particular, their work integral part of the overall plan conceived by Voluntary’s Centre for Jubilee welcome, is organized around three general areas.

 Pilgrim’s Logistic includes sll services about young people’s welcome and orientation: allocations, ( through the local secretariats ), the assistance and the coach’s arrangement, catering and transports’ coordination.

Special Categories

 This area interests(refers to) voluntaries, who will look after(aid) some categories of people involved in the WYD: authorities, Ecclesiastics, guests of  International Forum for young people, journalists and handicapped people.

Events

This category concerns all the support’s services (admittances’ control and verify, useful material’s distribution, sector’s arrangement, pilgrims’ flows steering(direction) for the main happenings of the WYD, for instance the opening cerimony on August 15^th , the Jubilee pilgrimage, the Via Crucis and the last (conclusive) celebrations at Tor Vergata. 

The preach of August 12^th 

A peculiar preach moment for the 25.000 WYD’s voluntaries will coincide with the starting of their official mandate(duty).On the 12^th of August, saturday, at 8 A.M. in St.Peter’s square, Vicarious Cardinal of Rome Camillo Ruini Will celebrate Eucharist for all voluntaries who eventually will go through the Holy Gate(Door) and reach their service’s stations.
