The 25.000 volunteers of the XV World Youth Day, who from the last Sunday are rendering their service in Rome, will live their Jubilee on Saturday 12th of August. At the St. Peter’s Square, Cardinal Ruini, the Vicar of Rome and the President of the Episcopal Conference of Italy, will preside over the Eucharist for the volunteers at 8.30, who will pass through the Holy Door flowingly. Moreover, again in the morning of the same day, about 1,500 volunteers will go to Castelgandolfo to participate in an audience with the Holy Father, which will be transmitted, by a video link, in the St. Peter’s Square at 10.30. On the 13th Sunday, at 12 o’ clock, in the court of the Vicariate of Rome, the Vicegerent of Rome, Mons. Cesare Nosiglia, will celebrate the Mass for the youth of the Italian Committee and for the Roman Committee for the XV WYD, who have collaborated at the organization of the event. After the Mass, the Vicar of Rome, Card. Camillo Ruini, will wish and thank those present. The morning of the 15th of August will be dedicated for the welcoming of the pilgrims, already arrived in Rome from all over the world: in every parish of Rome and in various church’s in the dioceses around. The Mass will be celebrated to welcome the youth coming in. At 10.00 o’ clock in St. John’s Lateran Church, Card. Camillo Ruini, will reside over the Mass for the pilgrims. To participate in this rite will be also the 300 youth from the war struck nations, accommodated in the past days in various dioceses of Italy, who will be accommodated during the day in the Roman Major Seminary. During the Eucharist, the Vicar of Rome, will compute the particular signs chosen for these particular celebrations of welcome, i.e. The washing of feet of some of the represented youth.
