At least 30% more presences to XV World Youth day: that is how much the organazers estimate considering the arrivals, beyhond the previsions, which there have been during the first 24 hours of reception. Youth in St. John's the Lateran and St. Peter's Square are already more than 600.000.

Youth have reached Rome using every kind of transport – airplane, buses, car, train, and even bycicle and on foot - to take part in the welcome rite, which will begin at 6.00 pm  in St. John's Lateran Square and then they will proceed to St. Peter's square, in the presence of the Holy Father.

Many of 2.741 reception structures are already completed. A lot of groups  are arriving without booking. For them reception secretaries, which have been working hard and generoulsly for 48 hours, are distributing accomodation. At this moment the two Squares are filled with youth carrying flags of 160 different countries, who contitnue to give life with singing and so forth while they wait for the Holy Father.
